I have seen many people come to these plateaus in their bench press gains and just give up when all they needed to do was variate a little. If you come to one of these spots where you aren't seeing the improvements, look at the areas that i touched on today in this article. If you are still not seeing results, I suggest doing some negative reps, just do so with a spotter or fitness coach.
Numerous push up variations are possible that you can implement in stages and have a complete upper body workout. Simple variations that can be tried are - placing your hands on medicine balls instead of the floor, placing one hand on a medicine ball and the other on the floor, doing it on fists or fingertips, keeping the feet elevated above ground level, jumping up and clapping in between, etc.
The finish, as you can see from the photos, is as close to looking like wood as you can get without actually being wood. GRC is used in a number of intricate architectural applications for exactly this reason.
