I have seen many people come to these plateaus in their bench press gains and just give up when all they needed to do was variate a little. If you are still not seeing results, I suggest doing some negative reps, just do so with a spotter or fitness coach.
However, it is important to choose a bench that will last as well meaning that sometimes it is a better option to pay a little more to ensure that the bench you choose will last longer.
